The couple, who officially got married on Saturday, December 1, just shared photos of their Sangeet: an Indian pre-wedding tradition complete with endless music and dancing. According to Priyanka’s Instagram post on Sunday morning, the Friday night event began as “a fierce song and dance competition between families” but quickly turned into “a celebration of love.”
From the photos and videos, it’s clear that the party was absolutely out of this world. To say that there was “music” would be an understatement; the first clip shows an all-out stage production, complete with elaborate choreography, dazzling set pieces, and flashing lights that would rival any concert or Broadway show. Additional photos reveal Priyanka’s gorgeous gold and silver sari, accessorized with sparkling jewelry that caught the light in every perfect way.
“We were both filled with gratitude for the effort, the love and laughter, and will carry the memories of this special evening for the rest of their lives,” Priyanka wrote alongside the photo series (which also feature a full-on Jonas Brothers reunion). “It is an amazing start to a lifetime of togetherness for our families and friends.”

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are officially married. People reports that on Saturday, December 1, the couple took part in a Western, Christian ceremony, officiated by Nick’s father, Paul Kevin Jonas Sr., at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Priyanka, Nick, and their entire wedding party all wore Ralph Lauren, with Priyanka in a custom designed wedding gown. According to People, Nick and Priyanka will participate in a second, Hindu ceremony on Sunday, December 2.
The royal wedding may have come and gone, but we still have one more wedding extravaganza to look forward to this year. That’s right: Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are tying the knot this weekend, and the pre-wedding festivities are officially underway.
The couple is having a traditional Indian wedding, which typically involves several days of activities and celebrations. One of the first events was their puja, a Hindu prayer ritual, which took place yesterday. The duo stepped out in traditional Indian apparel — Priyanka wore a light blue suit covered in intricate cream and pink embellishments, while Nick opted for a pink kurta and cream bottoms.
The groom’s brother Joe Jonas and his fiancée, Sophie Turner, also attended the puja, which was hosted at the home of Priyanka’s mother, Madhu Chopra, according to the Hindustan Times. Sophie wore a red suit embellished with beads and embroidery with a yellow dupatta, and Joe wore a light blue kurta with pink bottoms, perfectly complementing his brother and soon-to-be sister-in-law.
Priyanka and Nick have had quite the whirlwind romance. Although dating rumors have swirled about them for a while, it appears that they actually began dating in May. After a busy summer of meeting family and traveling the world, they got engaged in August — and now their big day is just around the corner! Isn’t love grand? Needless to say, we’ll be eagerly waiting for more snapshots from India as these two stylishly make their way through their wedding week.
