Shannon Purser‘s new film, Sierra Burgess Is a Loser, is just a few days away from hitting Netflix and being the most talked about movie of the month. But right now? Her latest red carpet outfit has us buzzing.
For the August 30 premiere’s red carpet, the former Stranger Things star (#justiceforbarb) opted for a stunning light pink gown from designer Tadashi Shoji. The floor-length dress was intricately detailed with lace and pleats and cinched at the waist with a thick pink band. It had short, flowy sleeves that draped into a v-neck, making it the perfect breezy style for the late August heat. If you’re interested in stealing the look for yourself (for homecoming, perhaps?), the dress happens to be on sale now for $340.
Shannon paired the dress with pink crystal earrings and complemented the look with makeup in the same rosy shades. She was pretty-in-pink from head to toe and looked every bit the major movie star that we know she’s about to be. Obviously, she posed alongside co-star Noah Centineo, because woah, woah, woah… who wouldn’t?
Hot off of the heels of the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before fanfare, Noah attended the event in a brown suit and collarless striped shirt. He gave Shannon a kiss on the cheek for the cameras on the red carpet, and TBH my heart nearly exploded. (He plays opposite Shannon as Sierra’s love interest in the film, which is basically about catfishing… but in a romantic way?)
Though we’ve all been swooning over Noah and Lana Condor from the moment TATBILB hit screens (… and all 15 times we’ve watched it since then), get ready to feel some similarly serious sparks between the actor and Shannon when Sierra Burgess Is a Loser hits screens on September 7. “I remember the phone conversations — we were both on other ends of the phone, and I was just in a different room,” Noah said of the film, which involves his character, Jamey, falling in love with Sierra over the phone — even though he thinks she’s someone else. “And it wasn’t even acting. You’re sitting there talking and it’s like, someone you have a true connection with. She’s just so available to that and open to that and I feel blessed to work with her.”
He added, “She’s just this real person. She’s present, she’s with you when you’re with her. And that’s something you don’t really find in a lot of people sometimes they’re here, but they’re like, distant.”
… Now, how do we get a starring role in a movie with Noah Centineo so he can gush about us like this?!
